Après, parties, transfers and more

Posted on

Well COVID continues to throw curve balls at us but we are good at dodging!

Today we have good news with the reopening of the path to Italy through Geneva. Whilst daily things are changing, we are watching carefully and we will continue to Keep Calm and Carry On to make Interbourse happen!

Registration numbers are stable at 240+

In the meantime here are a few useful updates:

WHO’s WHO – Urgent Photos and Registrations required
The cut off for photos and registrations for the hard copy Who’s Who closes at the end of this week – after that it will take some serious schmoozing and maybe even Bombardino Bribery to get your details into this must-have brochure.  So if you have team members yet to register then get them to do it NOW and remind everyone to reply to Nicola and Tiffany’s emails requesting photos if they haven’t already!

Transport – Getting to Courmayeur
Jessica at Momentum (jessica@momentumski.com) is coordinating transport requirements from the airports to Courmayeur. It would be really helpful if all Captains could coordinate team requirements back to her, but if necessary she is very happy to speak to individuals.  Transfers are costing from approx. €30 to €240 per person depending on the number of people travelling at the same time, so coordinating as many groups as possible together is very worthwhile!

Entry Requirements for Italy
This is changing all the time and scheduled to change again on the 15th December but as it stands if you are Schengen Area (ie Europe and Switzerland) standard proof of vaccination is all that is required for entry, whilst those of us outside the area (UK, US and Canada) will require a negative antigen type test to enter.

The latest requirements on a country-by-country basis can be checked here:

https://infocovid.viaggiaresicuri.it/dadoveparti.html

PLEASE NOTE that over and above the Italian Requirements for entry we are expecting everyone attending Interbourse to be at least double vaccinated – many of us are delighted to say we will have had 3 jabs by the time we see you all!

Race Bibs Amnesty
I don’t suppose anyone remembers who last had the Interbourse Race bibs?

Drink Canada Dry
Delighted to announce that our Canadian friends are going to be serving up a substantial quantity of Teres Rosé with food and music on the Wednesday night at the Grand Hotel Courmayeur – the DJ comes with great credentials so we are expecting quite a party and  it may take some time to Drink Canada Dry having seen the wine order! Thanks Canada!

Not the Captains’ Dinner!
With budgets tight and the agenda busy there is no space for a Captains’ dinner this year but don’t fear – The Not the Captains Dinner ‘Pizza Party’ will be happening on Tuesday night at Bar Roma  thanks to the support of Billy Brandreth and his company Headwall Private Markets. Thanks Billy !!

Gala Dinner and Fancy Dress
The Gala Dinner dress code is Dress to Impress – so pack the smartest gear you can fit in your luggage!

And YES!  We can now confirm the fancy dress party and the theme –

‘A Night at the Movies’  – dress as your favourite film, character or movie star and walk the red carpet at Club Haus 80’s on Monday night  – it’s the best nightclub in Courmayeur!

Friday Night and the final Après Party
We have Team Philly to thank for a final hurrah Après Ski at La Bouche in the village after skiing. This is really generous of the team, we salute them not just because of the size of their group they have pulled together this year but because it’s the group raising the money for this Après themselves. Thank you Barry, Liam and the team!

Ski Passes / Final Invoices
Just a quick Heads Up, in case you get enquiries from your team, Momentum will be contacting everyone to confirm ski pass requirements and a few other details before they commence final invoicing at the end of the week.

That’s it for now so keep safe everyone, we are looking forward to seeing you in Courmayeur in 2022

Regards

Jennie and the London Interbourse 2022 Committee
